Hi, I'm Jacob, but everyone calls me Jake.

I've been working hands-on with dogs since 2020, and I've had dogs in my life since 2007. From a young age, I've always loved animals-especially dogs. I trained my very first dog on my own as a kid, which sparked a lifelong passion that eventually turned into a career.

Today, I am a certified dog trainer and am Pet CPR certified, having graduated from Animal Behavior Collage. My goal as a trainer is to help dogs and their owners better understand one another by building clear communication, trust, and a strong bond through training.

Too often, dogs are rehomed or labeled as having "behavior problems" simple because their owners were never given the tools to understand their dog's behavior or communication effectively. When training and bonding don't happen, these behaviors can worsen over time-especially in shelter environments.

I believe every dog deserves a chance, regardless of age, background, size, personality, or breed.

The way I train is by using positive reinforcement. 

 

Positive reinforcement focuses on rewarding desired behaviors, helping your dog create strong mental pathways that turn good behaviors into habits. This approach:

- Reduces stress and anxiety 

- Encourages faster, more reliable learning

- Builds confidence and trust 

 

Training should be enjoyable for both you and your dog, and positive reinforcement helps make that possible.
